Who Is This Diet For?
The 1000 Calorie Evolution Diet is optimized to provide significant improvement in body composition
 ( up to 5 pounds per week ) for individuals who:
  • Have a BMI of 25 or less
  • Are moderately active (or healthy enough to to begin a moderate exercise regimen) or whose vocation requires significant physical activity
  • Want to build muscle while losing fat
  • Individuals who are unable to control hunger and cravings on the 500 Calorie Diet may also benefit from the 1000 Calorie Program

The 1000 Calorie Diet Protocol
Similiar to the 500 Calorie diet, the 1000 Evolution Diet is nearly identicial.  The same foods are included or exculed and a three week maintenance phase is still required.

There are four major differences:
  • There is no fat-loading phase
  • Participants are allowed 6 ounces (rather than 3.5 ounces) of lean protein for two meals per day
  • Participants are encourged to drink an OptimaLean (functional food supplement) shake each day
  • Participant will supplements with EquolSLIM (twice daily) and/or Crave Control (15 minutes before each meal)

Remember that those patients over 50 should add HGH Vitality to the regimen, and women who are near or past menopause should also included Hormone Combination.

One of the key aspects of this program is physical activity.  Dieters must exercise to see maximum benefit.  Excercise should consist of 20-25 minutes of cardio and 15 minutes of light weight training (or equivalent activity, e.g., in a job that requires manual labor) five times per week (no more than 45 minutes of exercise per day)

Grains and Starches
The hCG protocol does not allow for any grains during the 500 calorie phase. Avoid all grains and starchy vegetables, including:
Wheat
Rice (White or Brown)
Cereal
Potatoes
 Squash, pumpkin, etc.
Sweet Potatoes
​​​Quinoa 
 Pastries
​The addition of 1 Grissini Breadstick or Melba Toast per day may be acceptable for some clients, and can be recommended by your healthcare professional.
​Sugar and Sweeteners
Complete avoidance of added sugars and artificial sweeteners is also essential for the success of the 500 calorie diet phase.  Sugars to avoid include:
Cane Sugar
Honey
Evaporated Cane Juice
Corn Syrup
Agave Nectar
Maple Syrup
It is important to note that artificial sweeteners, including aspartame, sucralose (Splenda), and saccharin, are not an acceptable alternative during this phase.  When a dish or recipe calls for a sweetener, keep in mind that stevia and xylitol are the only acceptable options.

Fruits
Eat two different servings of fruit each day.  Examples of a "serving" of fruit include:

  • A medium apple
  • Half of a grapefruit
  • Six large strawberries
 
Don't eat the same fruit twice in a single day.  Be sparing with fruits that are moderately high in sugar, including:
  • Grapes
  • Tangerines & Oranges
  • Pineapple
  • Kiwi fruit

Mango
Bananas
Any dried fruits (dehydration concentrates the sugars)

Vegetables
Eat two different servings of vegetables each day.  A serving of vegetables is 1 to 2 cups raw. 
Vegetables may also be steamed or grilled--but not fried or sauteed!
(You must avoid all fats during the VLCD phase).

Acceptable vegetables include:
  •     Greens (including spinach, cabbage, bok choy, chard, lettuce, collard greens, arugula, all forms of lettuce)
  •     Broccoli or cauliflower
  •     Celery
  •     Cucumber
  •     Onion
  •     Asparagus
  •     Tomatoe (Can be fruit of vegetable)
  •     1/2 cup of Red or Green Salsa (Can be fruit of vegetable)

 

Tomatoes may be counted as either a fruit or vegetable.  One-half cup fresh green or red salsa without sugar may also be counted as either a fruit or vegetable.
Lettuce is mostly water and fiber and for the purposes of an hCG-based diet it is not considered food and can be consumed as desired.
​Proteins
Eat two different servings of protein each day.  Meats may be eaten raw, steamed, or grilled.  Avoid fatty meats, including salmon, tuna, sardines, herring, and pork.  Beef should generally be avoided, though lean cuts (tenderloin, sirloin) may be eaten once a week.
A serving of meat is 6.5 oz raw 6 oz cooked (meat loses weight when cooking as moisture evaporates).

​Acceptable meats include:
  •     Chicken
  •     Turkey
  •     Any white fish (cod, flounder, halibut, tilapia, sea bass)
  •     Any shellfish (lobster, shrimp, crab, scallops)
  •     Lean cuts of beef (tenderloin, sirloin)
  •     Bison (an excellent low-fat alternative to beef)

For vegetarian clients the following may be acceptable choices

    Non-fat plain Greek yogurt (1-1/2 cup)
    Non-fat cottage cheese (2 cup)
    Non-fat ricotta cheese (2 cup)
    Egg white (10)
    Some vegetarian-sourced protein powders that are low in carbohydrates and free of artificial ingredients. Review labels carefully.

Beverages
Water (including bottled and mineral water) is the best thing you can drink to avoid dehydration and create a "full" sensation in your stomach (to reduce cravings).  Insufficient water consumption is by far the most common cause of hunger and cravings on the 1000 calorie diet.

​Xylitol and stevia are acceptable.

​Extras
Some find that cravings for carbohydrates can be significantly reduced with the addition of a single Melba toast or Grissini breadstick to each meal.  Dr. Simeons promoted this addition to the diet. 


Our experience has shown that this works for some but not for everyone.

All oils and fats must be avoided, including butter, olive oil, canola oil, and oil-based salad dressing.  You must also avoid oil-based lotions, creams and cosmetics.

Sample Menu (1000 Calorie Diet)
The menu for a typical day might go as follows:
  • Upon Waking
    • Take ha2cg Evolution drops
  • Breakfast
    • Take one Crave Control capsule 15 minutes before or after the meal.
    • Drink an OptimaLean  shake ( 1 scoop powder in 8-12 ounces of water or almond milk)
  • Lunch
    • Take one Crave Control capsule 15 minutes before or after the meal.
    • Take ha2cg Evolution drops at least 15 minutes before meal
    • Eat a lunch of approximately 400 calories, including 6 ounces of protein.  (Follow the food guides for the 500 Calorie diet)
  • Dinner
    • Take one Crave Control capsule 15 minutes before or after the meal.
    • Take ha2cg Evolution drops at least 15 minutes before meal
    • Eat a lunch of approximately 400 calories, including 6 ounces of protein.
  • Exercise
    • Do 25 minutes of cardio and 15 minutes of moderate weight training at some point during the day
 
  • Total caloric intake for the day: 1000 calories
  • Remember to drink lots of water!
  • ha2cg Evolution drops can be consumed up to 6 times per day to help support appetite control and healthy metabolism
  • Desbio's full-body Detox program should be started one week before the diet and continued throughout both the diet and maintenance phases.
  • Posting the first meal (the OptimaLean shake) until late morning may reduce hunger and cravings.

Finishing Up
The 1,000-calorie diet should be continued for a minimum of 7 days and a maximum of 42 days.  The hA2cg Evolution drops should be discontinued three days before the 1,000-calorie diet is completed (after 21 or 38 days of dieting).  These three days will allow for continued fat release as the hA2cg is cleared from your system.  Resuming normal levels of caloric intake before all traces of hA2cg have been cleared will result in dramatic weight gain.
