The Alzheimer’s Risk Test is a non-invasive genetic risk assessment test, offered in the US which is performed using a simple saliva sample. The test gives predictive information of the genetic risk of an individual’s cognitive decline due to Alzheimer’s Disease.
The test uses a technique known as a Polygenic Risk Score (PRS), and evaluates over 100k single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) associated with Alzheimer’s disease. The test also reports the possible presence of genetic variants associated with the Early Onset form of Alzheimer’s disease (EOAD) and report APOE status.
